Coaches

PYSA Coaches
For the 2012 season our coaches must think team work. Just like we are teaching our kids to work as a team, so must the
coaches. What we do, how we act, react, and say will be observed by our kids and families. It is very important to never lose
perspective on what is important. We are all here for our kids, the future of Patterson. We need have the understanding of
“one team, one goal”. That goal is to send every child home from a game or practice extremely happy. Our kids should feel
that they can’t wait for the next game or practice. If our kids do not have that feeling or thought, we need to look at what we
are doing to prevent that from happening. If one coach fails, we all fail. So please feel free to give and receive advice from
our peers.
Along with that, coaches need to always respect the referees’ authority in the game. If the referee makes a call that you do
not agree with, accept it and continue the game. Again, accept it. No matter how you react, it will not change the call. Keep in
mind our referees’ are learning just like the rest of us so we need to support them.
So enjoy this 2012 season and if you have any questions feel free to call the D4/Recreation coordinator at 209.409-7066
